I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as a child and although so many other people suffer from this and other diseases it can often feel very isolating. I constantly worry about my current and future health and how I will afford the things necessary to keep myself healthy. The anxiety from these thoughts can feel like its burying you and you can start to spiral, but painting gives me freedom. Painting for me is how I release that anxiety. It is cathartic, all of the emotions poor out onto the canvas and help me to find peace.
