As an animal welfare professional, caretaking is everything. I'm the Animal Care Manager for the Ulster County SPCA; we house dogs, cats, small animals, and farm animals. Caregiving in a shelter environment is fulfilling work but comes with an emotional weight; painting is therapy for me in a field where compassion is of utmost importance; I can recharge and connect with God to be of better service to those around me in need.
