This piece represents my battle with multiple health diagnoses over recent years; OSA, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Insomnia, Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome, Generalized Anxiety, and Major Depression. The monsters reflect the various diagnoses and the beast they can become, posing conflict within day-to-day life. They can be difficult to look at but are tethered to their host all the same. While the person in the center represents a moment of meditative peace, introspection, and stillness within the chaos of it all through artistic expression; to release the weight of their demons within, if only for a moment.
